Pedagogic Policy
How do we cope with the children, and what is our inspiration?
We included our framework, vision and principles in our pedagogic policy. We explain what we do and why we do it a certain way. This “how” is based on the core values and in cooperation with parents and employees, per daycare, recorded in a pedagogical plan. In this plan you will find it logged per subject and per location. The log shows (pedagogic.) objectives for every location. This way, it’s clear for everyone involved!
You can ask for the policy and the plan at every daycare.
The pedagogic plan isn’t fixed, since we discuss and adjust it regularly. On-the-job experiences teach us new visions and insights. Besides this, we deem it necessary that all parties involved should continue conversing about the children, their education, the daycare and the role that FloreoKids has in the kid’s lives.
The tree is the inspirational symbol for growth and development in our pedagogical plan, whereas you will find our core values.
Growth from the heart
To make a child grow to their full potential, we stimulate what’s already there. We listen and observe the children to actually get there. Our vision about raising children is to connect with them and with their abilities. Our key terms in this vision are:

Acceptance: We accept children the way they are: unique and precious
Diversity in personalities and differences between children are an asset.
Trust: We trust the child's capabilities
From birth, children have an intrinsic motivation to learn how to speak, walk and get in touch with others. They learn what is needed for their lives. Children learn at their own pace and in their own manner. The unique way of learning and their own pace is a determining factor for our guidance.
Care: We care about the children deeply and connect to their personal needs
Children feel more secure with a fixed routine, pace and rules. This secure foundation ensures them to discover the world safely. This way we stimulate children to be independent and responsible.
Support: The right to be supported and to get positive attention from adults is a right
We offer the children loving support. Together with them, we will explore answers to questions that may arise. With our active support we help kids to be able to “do things by themselves”, and to be aware of themselves when they don’t need our help anymore.
Discovering the world: Children are a part of our society
The child centre is a small society where children can practice “in miniature”. This involves (literally) the process of falling and getting up. We enable children to discover the world in a safe manner. The children will learn from each other and teach each other, in the now but for later!
