Een professionele BSO

Since April 4, 2011, our entire after-school care (BSO) has been located in a beautiful building on Rijnsburgerweg. Here, there's plenty to do for all our children aged 4 to 12 after a usually tiring school day.

Personal input and flexibility 

Our after-school care (BSO) is divided into different age groups. The ground floor consists of the "Bengels" and the "Binkies," two groups where children aged 4 to 6 are taken care of. In addition to the so-called living rooms, they also have access to the craft studio and the gym. On the first floor, you'll find our "Kanjers." Here, children aged 7 and 8 prefer to play in the girls' or boys' room on their floor. For the children who want to relax after a long school day, there is a library with (comic) books and a computer.

The oldest children entertain themselves on the 2nd floor, where they are welcome until the end of primary school. On this floor, BSO Pimmetje has created a real "gameroom." The "Spetters" play with the Wii and the air hockey table here, but they are also always up for a game of chess or shuffleboard. For our oldest children, we also have a homework room with reference materials, books, a computer, and internet access so they don't have to do all their homework at home after a day full of school and after-school care. Additionally, on the 2nd floor, there is a theater and music room where the oldest children rehearse the trendiest dances or put together a real puppet show for the younger ones.

The children are picked up from school by the pedagogical professional themselves and are taken to the after-school care (NSO) using large cargo bikes, Pimmetje vans, or simply by walking. The older children, aged 9 and above, are allowed to come to Pimmetje independently by bike.

Pimmetje provides all the food and drinks for the children during their stay at the after-school care (BSO). This also includes meals and snacks during holidays, along with a variety of activities. During each holiday period, we aim to take the children on outings and excursions. This might involve playing soccer in the park, visiting the goats at the petting zoo, treasure hunting at the beach, or going on a scavenger hunt in a museum.

Outside of vacation periods, during school weeks, we offer workshops for children in the after-school care program. We've already had workshops such as K3 dancing, judo lessons, a cooking workshop with tasting, theater classes, soccer, and many more. In addition, many children also participate in sports and game clubs like soccer and swimming alongside the after-school care. For these children, BSO Pimmetje provides transportation on the days when they are with us and also have a training session or practice.
