After-School Care (before, after school, and holiday care)
At Hoftuyn, FloreoKids provides out-of-school care (before school, after school, and holiday care) in 5 groups (maximum of 100 child spots) for children from 4 years old up to the end of primary school age.
The Hoftuyn location is integrated into Brede School West, along with Dalton School de Leeuwerik and public school Prins Willem Alexander. The location provides care for children from 2 to 12 years old; for children up to 4 years old, there is toddler care and a pre-preschool playgroup. Before and after school hours, the location offers care for children in primary school age.
De Hoftuyn is situated in a beautiful location with three interconnected buildings linked by walkways. The second building houses a large sports hall where sports and play activities are offered during after-school care on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in the fall and winter months. Additionally, all groups utilize the central kitchen, play hall, and playroom. All of this, along with the spacious, green, and stimulating outdoor area, is ideal for a wide range of activities.
In the open outdoor space, there is an art piece. The sculpture depicts two people embracing each other. Embracing one another holds a high value within the Hoftuyn team. We embrace each other to experience warmth and safety and to pass these feelings on to the children at our location. We understand that everything has two sides. That's why we also want to embrace the other side. This way, we can grow and flourish, no matter who or what we are, and wherever we come from.
Education and childcare
Kindcentrum Hoftuyn, along with Prins Willem Alexanderschool primary school, forms an integrated school. Education and childcare go hand in hand here. In addition to after-school care, Hoftuyn also offers a pre-preschool playgroup: ve-peuterspeelzaal De Papegaaien and toddler care: Peuteropvang Hoftuyn bij de Kolibries. Wednesday Afternoon Club FloreoKids
The Wednesday Afternoon Club is a collaboration between several FloreoKids locations (De Duikboot, Het Buitenhof, Hoftuyn, and De Brink). Once a month, the Wednesday Afternoon Club takes place. During this afternoon, age-appropriate activities are organized at the different locations, focusing on children's talents and location-specific talents. These activities might include workshops like graffiti, gym, dance, and music lessons.
