Child Centre “De Tovertuin”
Flexible childcare in a natural environment
The Child Centre “De Tovertuin” is situated in the natural environment of the Noorderpark, behind the Willem de Zwijgerlaan next to the Albertine Agnesstraat. Here FloreoKids offers affordable and flexible daycare. At “De Tovertuin” we pay special attention to speech and language development with the Uk en Puk- program. With this preschool education, kids are well-prepared for when the enter primary school.
The Groups
At “De Tovertuin” we have two different groups. “De Rupsen” (The Caterpillars) ages 0-2,5 years, and De Vlinders (The Butterflies) ages 2-4 years. These groups are available from mondays through fridays from 07h30-18h30 or 08h00-18h00.
At midday, all children are offered a warm meal.
We stimulate the children and the development in diverse programmes daily, by singing songs, painting, playing with sand and water or by doing exercise games. We have pauses where we drink a bit and we have a warm lunch all together. We also have a game-room, where we do fun things together. And next to all of this, we also have a big garden where the children can play outside as they please, with enough space to run, play with balls, play with sand, climb and much more! Easily accessible
De Tovertuin is easily accessible from the Merenwijk (neighbourhood in Leiden) and other parts of Leiden by bike. By car you can get there easily by driving up de A4 highway or by entering the city centre of Leiden.
Exercise-diploma KNGU (Gymnastics Union Netherlands)
Since the 11th of november 2015, all employees from De Tovertuin have an official Exercise-degree from the Gymnastics Union. This is the first child centre of Leiden to be certified for movement classes, for kids aged 2-4 years old.
Out of school care
FloreoKids also provides after school care for primary school “Het Gebouw” in the Arubastraat. Both locations are just a few steps away. It’s always good to know that, when you need out of school care or holiday care, it’s well provided.
