Daycare “De Bonte Koe”
Daycare ánd education!
The Brede school Ter Does is a real experienceable location. Every child has the right to be themselves, to be hear and we stimulate children to gain (new) energy by being outside. By being outside in the rain, sun, snow etc., you can really experience what we find important.
We use different materials in the activities that aim for the senses, like “feel” and “smell”, but also “seeing”, “tasting” and “hearing”. The process and experience of the activities are far more important than the end-result. Because of the stimulation of all sensory, we chose for a talentword for this location that conveys who we are: Experience and play-arrow.
Focused on talent
We created a “talent spot” in the hallway, to clarify the children's talents for the parents. In this spot, we made “talent trees” where we hung the talents up. Additionally, there’s a talent-book which parents can read, so they can get clarification on the talent-words. When leaving the group, the children will receive a folder with all of their crafts. In this folder, you’ll find a sticker in the shape of the sun, and on that sun we will write about the child's talent and what makes them happy.
We try to apply the children's talents especially at the out-of-school cares. If a child has the “field organiser” talent, they can help with organising activities. If a child has the “busy bee” talent, then they’ll help with errands. When seeing a child in his talent, we will compliment them, and we will tell them that this is one of their talents. Like this, children really realise when they’re in their element.
De Bonte Koe
The Bonte Koe has one group for children ages 0-4 and it has a homey feel. At de Bonte Koe, we love nature. The pedagogical employees and children head out regularly, boots on and off to nature. We also try to eat as much biological foods as possible.
The “Uk en Puk” program
With the help of the “Uk en Puk” program, we focus a bit more on language- and speech skills. This is a program for preschool education, so the children are well prepared for primary school.
Conveniently located
The Bonte Koe accommodates children from Hoogmade, but children for around the area are also more than welcome. It’s very conveniently located near the A4-highway.
